History

Starting life in 1909 as the Imperial Hotel, The Bolt Inn has been a cornerstone of Uralla’s history for over a century. Located in the heart of Uralla at the junction of the New England Highway and Thunderbolt’s Way, this grand Victorian-style pub was renamed in 1970 to honour Captain Thunderbolt, the gentleman bushranger who once roamed the region. In 2022, under new ownership, the pub underwent extensive renovations and embraced its new name, The Bolt Inn, while preserving the charm and character that has made it a local icon.​

Welcome to The Bolt Inn, a family pub recently restored by us, local owners Pete and Sal Strelitz, along with our amazing team of staff, tradies, chefs, and everyone else who helped bring this beautiful pub back to life. After purchasing the pub in 2022, we set out with a vision to create a welcoming space for locals to gather, enjoy great food and drinks, and celebrate the beautiful town of Uralla alongside our friends at The Top Pub.

With years of experience working with chefs and supplying quality meat through Milly Hill Meat, we are committed to bringing top-quality, locally sourced ingredients to the table. Our meals reflect the best of the region and provide a true taste of country hospitality.
